The goal of this NXBC project is to communicate the life changing truths about Jesus to citizens of Canada, the USA, and the former Soviet republics in a language that they can easily understand. In a 2001 national census, close to 80,000 Torontonians identified either Russian or Ukrainian as their first language. The census also reported that there are close to 250 000 native speakers of either Russian or Ukrainian living in Canada. The number of Americans of Russian ancestry living in New York State alone numbers close to 500 000. Many of these people are new immigrants to North America and do not have developed English Language skills.

The NXBC Russian Language Radio Project will share the good news of Jesus Christ to such people in their very own language. From Toronto, the Russian Language Radio Project will expand to other cities such as New York, Sacramento, Kiev, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other cities throughout the Azerbaijan – Kyrgystan corridor.
